ArmenTel expands coverage by GSM and 3G networks

The Russian-owned ArmenTel telecommunications company (trading as Beeline) said today it has expanded the coverage by GSM and 3G networks in the capital city Yerevan and six provinces.

YEREVAN, June 5. / ARKA /. The Russian-owned ArmenTel telecommunications company (trading as Beeline) said today it has expanded the coverage by GSM and 3G networks in the capital city Yerevan and six provinces.

In particular, it has installed new 3G base stations in Panik community of the northern Shirak province, Drakhtik in Gegharkunik region, Hovtashat community in Ararat province, in Shvanidzor (Syunik), Proshian, Katnaghbyur, Karbi, Arteni in Aragatsotn region, as well as in Arinj and Aghavnadzor in Kotayk region.

Beeline mobile network’s coverage has expanded also thanks to installation of new GSM stations in Yerevan, Gavar, Martuni and Jermuk, as well as in Hovtashat in Ararat region and Shvanidzor in Syunik. 

ArmenTel CEO, Andrei Pyatakhin, was quoted as saying in a press release that the company works to improve the network, realizing that the quality of services depends primarily on the technical component.

Last month ArmenTel expanded the third generation network by installing new base stations in Armavir and Kotayk regions. -0-
