YEREVAN, June 2. /ARKA/. The official opening ceremony of Eleveight AI's artificial intelligence data center took place on June 1 in the Gagarin community of Armenia's Gegharkunik region.
According to the RA Ministry of High-Tech Industry, this is the region's first AI factory. The center is based on NVIDIA Blackwell B300 technology and is designed for large-scale AI computing, training generative models, and digital solutions for the public and private sectors.
"The new data center in Gagarin is one element of Armenia's future economy. Our goal is to be not just a consumer of technology, but a country that creates, exports, and shapes the future," said RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.
Eleveight AI co-founder and CEO Arman Aleksanyan noted that after more than a year of work, the company is ready to launch the region's first AI factory based on NVIDIA Blackwell B300.
The initial investment in the project is $70 million. The company plans to invest an additional $50 million by the end of the year.
The data center complies with NVIDIA Reference Architecture standards and will allow international companies to launch AI projects in Armenia without complex technical integration.
Eleveight AI also announced that up to 20% of its computing power will be made available to Armenian universities, research centers, and non-profit initiatives.
During the event, the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia and Eleveight AI CJSC signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing the AI ecosystem and supporting innovation, startups, research teams, and applied AI projects.
The parties also plan to create the AIVI Virtual Institute of Artificial Intelligence as a platform for educational programs, professional communities, research teams, and innovative initiatives.
