YEREVAN, August 19. /ARKA/. Armenia has ranked 81st out of 111 countries in the Speedtest Global Index for mobile internet speed, published by international company Ookla.
As of August 2024, Armenia's average mobile internet speed is 31.16 Mbps. The country trails behind its regional neighbors: Georgia ranks 68th (38.43 Mbps), Azerbaijan 49th (53.98 Mbps), Turkey 60th (43.45 Mbps), and Iran 69th (37.41 Mbps).
The study also places Russia at 91st with a speed of 25.53 Mbps.
According to the Speedtest Global Index, the fastest mobile internet is in the UAE at 360 Mbps, followed by Qatar at 344 Mbps and Kuwait at 232 Mbps. Yemen has the slowest mobile internet at 7.26 Mbps.
