First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Gevorg Mantashyan presented Armenia's approaches to the responsible use of artificial intelligence at the Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana.
YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Gevorg Mantashyan presented Armenia's approaches to the responsible use of artificial intelligence at the Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana.
According to the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, Mantashyan participated in a panel discussion on "Principles of Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence within the Framework of Eurasian Economic Integration" on May 28, organized as part of the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum.
The discussion focused on the role of artificial intelligence as an important factor in digital integration, economic modernization, and innovative growth in the common market of the EAEU. Participants discussed AI development priorities, effective data management mechanisms, the formation of common standards, and the need to develop secure and reliable digital solutions.
Particular attention was paid to the responsible and human-centered use of artificial intelligence, ensuring cybersecurity, and developing cooperation based on best international practices.
In his speech, Mantashyan noted that the development of artificial intelligence and digital technologies requires not only the implementation of advanced solutions but also the development of responsible management and long-term strategic approaches.
"Digital transformation is not only the introduction of new technologies but also the responsibility for ensuring their safe, efficient, and reliable use. The development of artificial intelligence should be based on the principles of trust, transparency, the development of professional capabilities, human-centered approaches, and international cooperation," he said.
The First Deputy Minister also emphasized the importance of exchanging experiences and deepening professional cooperation between EAEU countries. He emphasized that artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies can play a significant role in enhancing industrial competitiveness, the efficiency of public services, and the development of innovative ecosystems.
Mantashyan noted that Armenia is consistently developing its technological and innovative potential, placing significant emphasis on education, professional training, and international partnerships to create a robust and competitive artificial intelligence ecosystem in the region.
The discussion was attended by high-ranking representatives of the EAEU countries, including Dmitry Mun, Vice Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan, Kirill Zalessky, Minister of Communications and Informatization of Belarus, and Tigran Sargsyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank.
