Armenia officially joins NASA's Artemis Agreement

YEREVAN, 13 June. /ARKA/. Armenia has become the 43rd country to officially join NASA's Artemis Agreement, the press service of the Ministry of High Technology Industry reported.
The Artemis Agreement was signed on 12 June in Washington at NASA headquarters. Armenia was represented by Minister of High Technologies Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.
Head of NASA Bill Nelson welcomed Armenia's decision to join the Artemis Agreement, emphasising Armenia's historically recorded great achievements in the spheres of science, space exploration and astronomy.
Hayrapetyan, emphasising the long-standing partnership between Armenia and the US, noted that this event is a big step in the context of expanding cooperation between the two countries in the sphere of science, particularly in the field of space exploration.
"Difficult times force us to find new opportunities and innovative solutions, directing our gaze upwards space, where there are no borders. By joining this initiative, Armenia has become a member of the big space family of stable and peaceful space exploration," said Hayrapetyan. -0--
