Armenia's leading telecom operators transferred 22.2 billion drams to the state budget in the first half of 2026

YEREVAN, July 27. /ARKA/. Armenia's four leading mobile and internet operators transferred 22.21 billion drams to the state budget in the first half of 2026, according to the list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers in Armenia, published by the State Revenue Committee.

In the breakdown of payments by four operators—Viva Armenia, Ucom, Telecom Armenia, and GNC-ALFA (OVIO brand)—tax revenues amounted to 22.15 billion drams, while customs revenues amounted to 56 million drams.

Viva Armenia ranked highest among telecom operators for the January-June period, ranking 19th on the list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers. Its payments amounted to 10.41 billion drams. Ucom ranked 27th with 5.81 billion drams. Telecom Armenia transferred 4.81 billion drams to the state budget, ranking 35th, and GNC-ALFA (trademark OVIO, formerly Rostelecom Armenia) transferred 1.18 billion drams, ranking 157th.

On July 6, 2026, Viva Armenia announced the signing of an agreement to acquire shares of GNC-ALFA, operating under the OVIO brand. Previously, on July 2, 2025, the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia approved Viva Armenia's acquisition of 100% of GNC-ALFA shares. Information on the final closing of the transaction was not available in public sources at the time of writing.

According to the State Revenue Committee, the 1,000 largest taxpayers in Armenia transferred more than 1.109 trillion drams in taxes and customs duties to the state budget in the first half of 2026. The Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine tops the list with 41.61 billion drams in payments, followed by Mobile Center Art with 38.16 billion drams, and Ardshinbank with 33.60 billion drams.
