YEREVAN, March 16. /ARKA/. Azerbaijani hackers broke about 20 Armenian websites today morning, a cyber security expert Samvel Martiorsyan, told ARKA. He said the attacks of Azerbaijani hackers on Armenian websites have intensified over the last 2-3 days who target mainly government agencies and companies.
"For example, two days ago they broke the official website of Yerevan State University. At night they broke the website of the National Archive of Armenia," Martirosyan said.
He said the bulk of broken websites have been restored, but could not say why Armenian websites are so vulnerable to hacker attacks.
About 10 days ago Azerbaijani hackers broke another 20 Armenian websites, including the websites of the Ararat Patriarchal Diocese, the Committee on Freedom of Expression, Jewish Community of Armenia and others. On the hacked websites Azeris usually place offensive remarks in English and Azeri languages. -0-
