Vanadzor to host first engineering forum

YEREVAN, June 22. /ARKA/. The first Engineering Forum and Exhibition will be held on June 24 at the Vanadzor Technology Center that opened about nine months ago, the head of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) Bagrat Yengibaryan said to a news conference today.

"I think that this event will open a new page in Armenia’s high technology industry," Yengibaryan added.
He said the exhibition to be organized as part of the gathering will reveal the latest challenges in the engineering world, as well as what is happening in Armenia in this area. He added that the forum will focus on three main areas - development and challenges in the field of engineering, Armenia's competitiveness and educational problems.

Aram Salatyan, an engineer from the National Institute, noted that Armenia is becoming a country of "surprising engineering", because Armenian IT engineers offer interesting solutions to the most difficult challenges.

"In Vanadzor, Armenian engineers will show what solutions they can offer for various complex technological tasks. In particular, they will demonstrate modern solutions in the field of self-controlled machines, "Salatyan added.

The event is a joint effort of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation, the government of Armenia, the regional administration of Lori and Promoting the Development of SMEs in Armenia program.-0-
