The Red Book of Armenia mobile app has been launched in Armenia, the RA Ministry of Environment announced on Facebook.
YEREVAN, June 23. /ARKA/. The Red Book of Armenia mobile app has been launched in Armenia, the RA Ministry of Environment announced on Facebook.
The app was developed in partnership with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and is designed to provide access to information on plant and animal species included in the Red Book of Armenia.
The ministry stated that the app is available for free download from the App Store and Google Play.
"The Red Book of Armenia app has scientific, eco-educational, and educational purposes and allows users to learn about the biological classification of species, their abundance, habitat and distribution, morphological features, conservation status, and other important information regarding plants and animals," the ministry stated.
Using the app's interactive map, users can track the distribution of species across Armenia's flora and fauna.
The "Feedback" feature allows users to participate in the study and collection of data on Red Book species by submitting photographs and field observations.
