Nearly 1,800 duty-free electric vehicle import quotas remain unused in Armenia

As of October 3, 2026, 1,779 quotas for the duty-free import of electric vehicles remain unused in Armenia, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan announced on Facebook.
YEREVAN, October 5. /ARKA/. As of October 3, 2026, 1,779 quotas for the duty-free import of electric vehicles remain unused in Armenia, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan announced on Facebook.
"Of these, 839 quotas are attributed to individuals and non-dealers, out of the 16,500 quotas allocated to them," Papoyan noted.
The minister pointed out that another 940 quotas remain unused by dealers, out of the 3,500 quotas allocated to them.
In August 2026, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission granted Armenia an additional quota for the duty-free import of 5,000 electric vehicles for the year 2026. Consequently, the total quota volume for 2026 was increased to 20,000 units.
