YEREVAN, October 1. /ARKA/. Gevorg Mantashyan and Tatev Aslanyan, Deputy Ministers of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, discussed the risks and opportunities of using AI in healthcare and education with representatives from OpenAI.
Specifically, the discussion covered the potential application of AI-based tools for medical organizations, physicians, and the public, as well as the risks and prospects of integrating AI solutions into Armenia’s existing digital healthcare infrastructure, including the "ArMed" system. In this context, particular attention was paid to data security, personal data protection, and compliance with legal requirements, the ministry's press service reported.
The meeting also addressed prospects for implementing and developing innovative technological solutions and explored potential areas of cooperation regarding the creation of a secure and controlled digital environment in the healthcare sector.
Special emphasis was placed on the safe expansion of AI use in Armenia's education sector, including opportunities to develop educational programs and adopt international best practices for AI implementation.
