YEREVAN, October 5. /ARKA/. Davit Tadevosyan, Armenia’s Minister of High-Tech Industry and AI, and Artavazd Minasyan, co-founder of Krisp, discussed opportunities for promoting Armenian technology products and expanding the presence of domestic companies in international markets.

According to the ministry's press service, the parties met on October 2 to discuss prospects for the development of artificial intelligence and high-tech in Armenia, opportunities for the international expansion of Armenian startups and technology companies, human capital development, and investment attraction.

Particular attention was paid to the international positioning of Armenian technology companies and opportunities to showcase the country's homegrown technology products, expertise, and professional skills more widely in foreign markets.

In this context, they also discussed ways to deepen cooperation among the public, private, and academic/research sectors.

The parties touched upon the activities of the venture capital fund BigStory VC and investment opportunities aimed at developing startups of Armenian origin.

The fund was established with the participation of Krisp co-founders Davit Baghdasaryan and Artavazd Minasyan, as well as Podcastle AI founder Arto Yeritsyan.

Krisp develops voice AI technologies

During the meeting, Tadevosyan congratulated Minasyan on the ninth anniversary of Krisp’s founding, noting the company's contribution to the development of Armenia's technology ecosystem and artificial intelligence sector.

Minasyan presented Krisp's latest developments, technological focus areas, and future plans to the minister. According to him, over the past 12 months, Krisp has continued to expand its operations in the field of voice AI.

The company’s models, developed in Armenia, are used by leading companies in the AI ​​sector, according to the data provided.

Krisp is also developing voice translation technologies that support 62 languages ​​and continues to work on new technological solutions.

About the Company

Founded in Yerevan in 2017, Krisp specializes in voice AI technologies. According to the company, its technologies are used on over 200 million devices and process more than 80 billion minutes of voice audio each month.

Krisp’s noise-cancellation technology was named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2020; the company has also been featured on the Forbes AI 50 list and won a Webby Award.

Krisp develops solutions for noise cancellation, accent conversion, voice translation, transcription, and speech analysis.
