Krisp and WEB co-founders join Team Telecom Armenia as independent board members
YEREVAN, June 19. /ARKA/. Krisp co-founder Artavazd Minasyan and WEB co-founder Albert Toneyan have joined Team Telecom Armenia as independent members of its Board of Directors, the telecom's press service reported.
Experienced specialists, who have realized successful projects in IT and telecommunication areas, will help the company develop strategic projects and improve corporate management.
Team Telecom Board of Directors is headed by Aleksandr Yesayan; members are Hayk Yesayan and Aram Barseghyan, independent members are Albert Toneyan and Artavazd Minasyan.
"I am glad that our team is enriched with specialists, who have experience in implementing and successfully completing large-scale projects in both international and local markets. I am sure that as a result of our joint work we will be able to create a full-fledged ecosystem with a combination of telecom and IT industries, which will meet the demands of the modern consumer," said Aleksandr Yesayan.
Minasyan, in turn, noted that the company is of strategic importance for the development of the Armenian economy and creation of important infrastructures.
"I am sure that with my participation I will become a link between Team and the high-tech community," Minasyan said.
Speaking about his motivation for joining the board of directors, Albert Toneyan said he wants to bring his years of experience in the telecommunications sector and bold ideas to the team to set new benchmarks and achieve excellent results.
Artavazd Minasyan has a Ph.D. in economics. He is co-founder of Krisp and 10WEB, and managing partner of BigStory Venture Fund. He has raised $32 million in capital. Minasyan is also active in the community, serving on the boards of trustees of Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE) and Ayb School.
Albert Toneyan has a PhD in physics and mathematics. He is co-founder and director of WEB, one of the first Internet providers in Armenia, vice-president of the ".hay" and ".am" domain registry of "Internet Republic" NGO, president of ArmIX Foundation and member of the Armenian Internet Governance Commission.
Team Telecom Armenia provides Internet, digital TV, mobile and fixed communication services in Armenia. Since 2021, the company has been building Next Generation Network with a speed of 25 Gbps using 25G-PON technology. -0-
