YEREVAN, May 28. /ARKA/. The development of data processing infrastructure and cloud solutions is a priority of Armenia's state policy, stated Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan at the Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana.

According to him, the development of modern language models and artificial intelligence systems is directly linked to access to high-performance computing power.

Grigoryan noted that in Armenia, the development of human capital, engineering school, and technological entrepreneurship is considered one of the key conditions for digital transformation.

He also emphasized the need to strengthen the connection between education, science, and the labor market.

"The presence of a strong scientific school and professional research teams is becoming one of the key conditions for the safe and competitive development of artificial intelligence," he said.

The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the need to create a sustainable educational, infrastructural, and institutional framework for the development of modern technologies.

On Public Policy

According to him, the development of data processing infrastructure and cloud solutions is a priority for state policy in Armenia.

He emphasized that the development of modern language models and artificial intelligence systems is directly linked to access to high-performance computing power.

On Security and Transparency

Grigoryan also noted that the expansion of AI requires a responsible and balanced approach.

According to him, one of the main challenges remains ensuring a balance between the effectiveness of technologies, security, and public trust. Grigoryan also noted the need to establish a clear legal framework for artificial intelligence.

"It is necessary to ensure the transparency of algorithms, their explainability and auditability, and to maintain an appropriate level of human oversight over decisions," he said.

He emphasized the importance of adhering to the principles of digital sovereignty and mutually beneficial international cooperation.
