YEREVAN, May 14. /ARKA/. The 2024 laureate of the State Award of the Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution to Humanity through High-Tech, Japanese scientist, President of LOCOMTEC AIPS, Dr. Yoshiaki Damon Hagiwara, is being honored in Armenia.

The day before his meeting with the Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan took place. Congratulating Dr. Hagiwara on receiving the high award, the Minister noted that it is a great honor for Armenia to host people who have made an invaluable contribution to the development of technologies in the world.

In his conversation with the Minister, Dr. Hagiwara shared his experience and ideas for success, and expressed readiness to contribute to the development of the high-tech sector in Armenia, the press service of the Ministry reported.

The meeting was followed by the ceremony of stamping a postcard and a special envelope dedicated to the theme “State Award of the Republic of Armenia for the World Contribution to High Technologies”.

Dr. Yoshiaki Hagiwara has made a significant contribution to the development of sensors, digital cameras, as well as chipsets for PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 game consoles.

He is the President of LOCOMTEC AIPS Laboratory Japan and is developing system solutions for AI robotics for clean energy under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).-0-
