Armenia's Minister of High-Tech Industry will leave his post: Pashinyan names the reason

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan confirmed at a briefing on Thursday that High-Tech Industry Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan will not be part of the new Armenian government.
YEREVAN, July 9. /ARКА/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan confirmed at a briefing on Thursday that High-Tech Industry Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan will not be part of the new Armenian government.
"Mkhitar Hayrapetyan himself did not want to continue serving in the government," Pashinyan stated.
Hayrapetyan was appointed Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia on December 29, 2023.
About the New Government
Following the parliamentary elections on June 7, 2026, and the formation of the 9th National Assembly, the current government headed by Nikol Pashinyan, leader of the Civil Contract party, will resign.
The new cabinet will be formed by a prime minister elected by a parliamentary majority, in accordance with the Constitution of Armenia.
Following the elections, three political forces entered the new parliament: the Civil Contract party with 64 deputies, the Strong Armenia opposition bloc with 29 deputies, and the Armenia bloc with 12 deputies.
"Mkhitar Hayrapetyan himself did not want to continue serving in the government," Pashinyan stated.
