Armenia invites Ericsson to explore opportunities for R&D collaboration

YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. As part of the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, Armenia's Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry, Ruben Simonyan, visited the pavilion of the global technology giant, Ericsson.
Magnus Frodig, Vice President and Research Director of the Swedish company, presented Simonyan with the latest innovative developments in mobile networks, radio, and software systems.
In turn, the Deputy Minister informed Frodig about the ongoing R&D (Research and Development) projects in Armenia, highlighting potential opportunities for cooperation in this area, the ministry's press service reported.
Simonyan also held a meeting with Håkan Evrel, State Secretary of Sweden's Ministry of International Development, Cooperation, and Foreign Trade, where they discussed the possibilities of implementing joint programs aimed at developing the sector.
In this context, Evrel expressed readiness to carry out joint programs that would contribute to the development of Armenia's technological system and its effective integration into the European market.
