The document on cooperation in AI capabilities was signed yesterday by Armenian Ambassador to the United States Narek Mkrtchyan and US Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg.
The Armenian diplomatic mission stated that this partnership reflects the two countries' shared commitment to building a robust, innovation-driven AI future that will advance prosperity, economic security, and technological progress.
The joint statement is based on three key priorities:
Promoting innovation-friendly regulation. Supporting policies and stakeholders that foster AI innovation, investment, entrepreneurship, safe testing, deployment, and scaling of robust AI ecosystems. Strengthening broad cooperation in AI. Deepening cooperation to build future AI supply chains, including energy infrastructure, critical minerals, skilled labor, and resilient semiconductor supply chains.
Private sector engagement. Intensifying venture capital and technology investment, supporting partnerships in research and development, next-generation data centers, access to AI computing power, the development of robust AI models, and other areas.
