YEREVAN, June 22. /ARKA/. Telecommunication company “ArmenTel” (brand Beeline) welcomes competition in the market and introduction of new innovative technologies in Armenia, said General Director of ArmenTel Igor Klimko during DigiTec Business-2009 forum on Friday.

DigiTec Business Forum and Microsoft Innovative Forum were held in Yerevan on June 19-20 under the name “Business and Technologies Dialogue”. The forum was organized by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) of Armenia and Microsoft representation in Armenia. The forum was under high patronage of RA Premier.

According to Klimko, a lot has changed in the market of telecommunication and Internet-services of Armenia recently.

“Competition of not only providers, but of technologies has activated as well which means Internet will develop with higher rates and will become more accessible,” he said.

Microsoft Innovative Forum, DigiTec Business Expo, E-Fin conference – electronic finances, technology seminars and theme round table discussion were organized as part of DigiTec Business Forum.

The forum was aimed at assisting the installation of information and telecommunication technologies in different sectors of economy, introducing latest and innovative program and technological solutions for business automation, spurring development of sectors of entrepreneurship through implementation of technologies.

Over 1,500 entrepreneurs were expected to visit the forum.
