The current activities and upcoming programs of the AI Factory were discussed at a meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, the government press service reported.
During the discussion, the progress of the center's construction, the installation of technological equipment, and steps to establish the necessary infrastructure were presented.
Meeting participants also discussed the project's implementation schedule, public-private sector collaboration, and the conditions necessary for the full launch of the AI Factory.
Pashinyan noted that the project's implementation will contribute to the development of artificial intelligence and high technology, create new opportunities for scientific research and education, and enhance Armenia's international competitiveness in the technological sector.
About the Armenian AI Factory
On June 5, 2026, Firebird announced the start of the final phase of construction and equipment installation for the first phase of its megaproject – the AI Factory in Armenia, near the city of Hrazdan.
The complex covers an area of over 200,000 square meters. The first phase is scheduled to be commissioned in July 2026. Upon completion, the AI Factory will utilize over 6,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, delivering up to 110.6 exaflops of computing power for AI tasks with a total power capacity of 18 MW.
The investment volume for the first phase of the project is $500 million. The second phase is expected to increase the total investment to approximately $4 billion, and the number of GPUs will increase by over 41,000.
The AI Factory will provide computing power for AI model development, scientific research, engineering modeling, robotics, aerospace technologies, biotechnology, and corporate computing.
According to Firebird's development strategy, the project's infrastructure will exceed 100,000 NVIDIA Blackwell and Vera Rubin GPUs by the end of 2027.
