41,831 Internet Payments Made By ArCa Payment System In Armenia In July
YEREVAN, August 19. /ARKA/. Armenian Card (ArCa) payment system operated 41,831 Internet payments, including utility bills payments, in July 2011 – 69.8% year-on-year growth, the company’s press office reported on Friday.
These payments totaled AMD 178 million – 57.3% year-on-year decline.
Some 12,970 cashless transactions worth AMD 14.4 million were effected via ATMs in July 2011 (190.1% year-on-year growth).
According to the report, AMD 388.1 million was transferred from card to card (4,489 transfers) – 43.2% year-on-year growth.
Armenian Card CJSC was established on March 16, 2000 as a united national payment system.
Today 19 of Armenia’s 21 commercial banks participate in ArCa payment system.
The company is a full member of MasterCard Europe international payment system. It also processes VISA and American Express (Third Party Processor) cards. ($1 = AMD 366.51). –0–
