Armenia and India sign memorandum on cooperation and joint production in the defense industry
YEREVAN, August 18. /ARКА/. On August 17, Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Davit Tadevosyan received a delegation led by Secretary of the Indian Ministry of Defense Rajesh Kumar Singh, who arrived in Armenia on an official visit. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian ministry.
During the meeting, opportunities for expanding cooperation between Armenia and India in the defense industry and high technology were discussed. Particular attention was paid to scientific research, development, and innovation. The parties emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional ties and developing partnerships with Armenian companies.
During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia and the Ministry of Defense of India "On cooperation in research, development, innovation, and joint production in the defense industry."
The document outlines areas for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in the defense industry, including the implementation of joint research, design, and innovation programs, the development of startups and incubators in defense technology, and programs for exchanging experience and improving the skills of industry specialists.
The memorandum was signed by Aram Jivanyan, Acting Chairman of the Military-Industrial Committee of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, and Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of India.
The parties agreed on further steps aimed at the practical implementation of the agreements reached. -0-
