Tigran Khudaverdyan appointed CEO of Yandex in Russia
YEREVAN, March 15. /ARKA/. Tigran Khudaverdyan, the managing director of the Yandex group of companies, has been appointed as CEO of Yandex in Russia, the company reported. According to RBC, he will replace Yelena Bunina.
“Tigran will combine the new position with the position of managing director of the entire group of companies,” RBC said. Earlier, Bloomberg sources reported that Khudaverdyan could fall under EU sanctions.
Tigran Khudaverdyan was born in 1981 in Yerevan, Armenia. He graduated from the Faculty of Physics of Moscow State University. In 2006, Khudaverdyan began working at Yandex as a project manager, subsequently managing several services, including Yandex.Browser and Yandex.Navigator.
In 2015, he became CEO of Yandex.Taxi, and in 2018, after the company merged with Uber in Russia and the CIS, he headed this joint venture. A year later, he was appointed to the position of managing director of the Yandex group of companies.
Yelena Bunina will continue to work in the company as an HR director and will develop educational projects. -0-
