Orange Armenia has become favorite brand for 600,000 of armenians: France Telecom vice-president says
YEREVAN, August 29. /ARKA/. Vice-president of France Telecom, Benua Shin, said today in Yerevan, that telecom’s Armenian subsidiary, Orange Armenia, has become a favorite mobile operator for 600,000 Armenians since its inception here three years ago.
"Our goal was not only to create a large customer base, but also introduce innovations in Armenia, making them accessible to as many Armenians as possible and providing the highest quality services. Quality and innovations were our main objectives," he said.
He said Orange Armenia is the only operator providing mobile internet with 42 megabits per second speed in Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor and with 24 megabits per second in other areas.
"Until now Orange has invested in Armenia about 250 million euros. Our goal is to make high technology and high speed Internet daily tools for all Armenians," he said.
Shin said also that as part of its policy of accessibility of high technology, Orange Armenia became the first company to offer phones and smartphones for symbolic 1 dram to its new subscribers.
He also added that the company has adopted energy saving policy as part of its social responsibility strategy. As an example, he cited the work of the base station in the Syunik region, which operates solely on solar energy. In addition, Orange Armenia was the first in the region to establish eco-rating system of phones.
According to Shin, Orange Armenia is also involved in public life, promoting cultural and sports events.
"All of this helps us achieve our main goal - to become a favorite brand, and our quarterly research shows that subscribers find Orange the most beloved operator in Armenia," he said. -0-
