Armenian startup Krisp is worth now $120 million
YEREVAN, February 8. /ARKA/. The Armenian startup Krisp is worth now $120 million, Artavazd Minasyan, the co-founder and chairman of Krisp, told reporters on Monday.
Krisp, whose smart noise suppression tech, which silences ambient sounds and isolates the voice for calls is a USA-registered startup, but its staff is based in Yerevan, Armenia.
“Krisp is an example of a research-based company that has achieved great success. As a scientist, I have been dealing with the problem of noise suppression since 2016, and a year later we developed a technology that is the best in the world for noise suppression,” Minasyan said.
He said four years after being created, the company is now worth $120 million. According to him, this is a good example of how, based on scientific research, one can get a result and a successful product.
Krisp is an application that turns on during calls via Skype, Slack, Viber, WhatsApp, Zoom, Webex or other services and blocks noises during a call, such as street noise, neighbors shouting or key banging.
Krisp technology is based on machine learning and digital signal processor. KrispNet, the company's neural network, has learned to recognize the human voice, select only that part of the track, and block the rest of the noise. The technology purifies the voice of both the speaker and the listener. The audio delay does not exceed 15 milliseconds and does not affect the conversation in any way.
In addition to individual use, 2hz can be integrated into various communication media. For example, Sitel Group, the largest business process outsourcing company, announced that it is integrating technology into its call centers. -–0--
