Yerevan public transportation passengers can now pay for their fares using Apple Pay and Google Pay, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced on his Telegram channel.

YEREVAN, July 21. /ARKA/. Yerevan public transportation passengers can now pay for their fares using Apple Pay and Google Pay, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the new payment option is available for both ground public transportation and the Yerevan Metro.

Currently, fares for Yerevan public transportation can be paid with a transport card (available at metro ticket offices and terminals, Telcell points, and city information centers), a contactless bank card (from all local banks except VTB), or through the Telcell Wallet mobile app.

Paper single-use tickets with QR codes were withdrawn from circulation in August 2025.
