Application deadline for “Nerouj 6.0” techno-startup program for Diaspora Armenians extended till May 30 - Ministry

YEREVAN, March 28. /ARKA/. The deadline for Diaspora Armenians to submit applications for participation in the 6th “Nerouj 6.0” techno-startup program is extended until May 30 this year, Hayk Yengibaryan, Head of Program Department at the Ministry of High Technology Industry said.

“The program, implemented by the Ministry in Dilijan for the sixth time, is designed for Diaspora startups, the main goal of which is to contribute to the repatriation of professionals, introduction of a new technological startup ecosystem in Armenia,” Yengibaryan said at a press conference on Friday.

According to him, among the important preconditions of the program are registration of the startup and implementation of activities in Armenia, presence of a team (before applying for the program), and preference is given to innovations and technological solutions.

"The total budget of the grant program is AMD 90 million. For startups in the growth stage, AMD 30, 20 and 15 million is envisaged for first, second and third places respectively, and AMD 15, 10 and 5 million for startups in the idea stage. Also, an international accelerator program will be implemented within the framework of the program this year," Yengibaryan said.

A member of the program jury, founder of SmartClick program, investor Rem Darbinyan on his part said that first an initial assessment is conducted, after which the startups selected by the jury are invited to Armenia.

“During the five-day event, the program participants have an opportunity to learn about the advantages of Armenia's business environment, receive exclusive individual mentorship, present and develop their business idea, as well as receive a grant for the implementation of business initiatives,” Darbinyan said.

The Nerouj pProgram has been implemented by the Ministry of High Technology Industry since 2018. As in previous years, in 2025, about 40 teams of IT startups from around the world will be invited to Armenia to participate in the 6-day introductory event - from September 23 to 28.-0-
