GNC-Alfa Awarded Broadband Internet License
YEREVAN, May 26. / ARKA /. Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) has awarded a license to GNC-Alfa company allowing it to build a network for wireless broadband Internet access.According to the decision of the Commission, the company is permitted to use radio frequencies band 3450-3499 MHz. The license is valid until December 10, 2018.
A PSRC member, Samvel Arabajian, told ARKA that the frequencies can be used to enable different types of networks, like WiMAX, Point-to-Poin, and others. He said GNC-Alfa has not yet submitted its project.
GNC-Alfa was established in 2007 and is a licensed telecommunications operator. Its major activities include construction and operation of trunk telecommunication networks, provision of transport network services. The company has built a backbone fiber optic cable from Iran, as well as two outputs through Georgia. –0—
