YEREVAN, September 11. /ARKA/. Chairman of Internet Society NGO Grigory Sagiyan said in the interview with ARKA that it is very likely that Arminco internet provider will merge with some other company

“In order to offer some services a company must have big resources, and for small companies merging is unavoidable. I don’t exclude that the same scenario may happen to Arminco company. If one’s resources are not enough, it is necessary to attract them, especially when one has some major competitors. A company should find either new place in the market or merge,” Sagiyan said.

Over a few years, ICT companies in Armenia are merging more often.
Particularly, in 2011 two Armenian internet companies, UCom and Netsys, announced on the merge without revealing the details. Later, in October, it became known that UCom had bought 100% stock of iCON Communications, again without revealing any details on the deal.

Arminco company has been providing internet in Armenia since 1992. Arminco, a certified partner to Microsoft, runs the Network Information Center of AM – AMNIC domain and Electronic Numbering (ENUM) national register. -0---
