YEREVAN, October 7, /ARKA/. Armenia’s largest and oldest Internet Services Provider and IT consultancy company ARMINCO said it will cut Internet prices.

The move comes after ArmenTel and Fibernet Communications, the two wholesale Internet providers, cut their wholesale prices.

ARMINCO CEO Andranik Alexanian told ARKA that the company has sent an inquiry to wholesale operators waiting for their official confirmation. He could not say how much ARMINCO would cut the prices, saying it would be clear only after their inquiry is responded.

ArmenTel (operating under Beeline trademark) said August 26 it was going to cut wholesale Internet traffic price by 7-17% for corporate customers which have the license to provide Internet services. The new prices were enforced on September 15. Fibernet Communications said it will cut wholesale Internet traffic price by 21% from October 1.

Founded in 1992, ARMINCO has pioneered commercial Internet Services in Armenia. As an ISP, the company has created and operates the first large scale commercial gigabit backbone network in Armenia that has multihomed connection to the Internet via ArmenTel and SatGate.

ARMINCO also provides VSAT DVB/RCS Internet connectivity using Telenor equipment for the bordering regions and those special cases that require fast deployment in remote locations. ARMINCO provides Internet connectivity to the end-users via Dial-up, DSL, Wireless, prepaid WiFi and Fiber-optics technologies nation-wide. -0-
