Earth Day marked a new achievement for Team Telecom Armenia: the company successfully passed the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system audit and received the corresponding certificate, the company's press service reported.
YEREVAN, April 22. /ARKA/. Earth Day marked a new achievement for Team Telecom Armenia: the company successfully passed the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system audit and received the corresponding certificate, the company's press service reported.
The ISO 14001:2015 certificate confirms that Team's environmental management system and practices comply with widely recognized international standards.
The certificate also confirms Team's commitment to reducing its environmental impact through measuring company performance, identifying environmental risks, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
"At Team, we believe that true leadership begins with responsibility. Our goal is not only to develop innovative technologies but also to create an environment in which every project is implemented with respect for the environment. "ISO 14001:2015 certification is a commitment for us—we confidently continue our strategy focused on environmental protection, demonstrating that sustainable development is at the core of our business," says Arevik Mkrtchyan, Team Telecom Armenia's environmental and social expert.
Team consistently implements energy-efficient solutions, using solar energy to power communications. In 2025, the company's solar panels increased their output by approximately 14% compared to 2024, and by 77% compared to 2023.
The share of renewable and emission-free energy in Team's total energy consumption already stands at 18%, ensuring sustainable annual growth.
Team Energy's network of fast charging stations currently operates over 130 stations across Armenia. The company's fleet is steadily expanding with electric vehicles:
the share of cars with silent engines and zero emissions already stands at approximately 30%. As a result of Team's strategic NGN network construction program, copper cables are being replaced with a fiber-optic network, significantly reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
In 2025, Team continued to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions, aiming to reduce emissions by 40% by 2029, ensuring continued sustainable development.
Team also regularly works to reduce waste. To avoid the generation of electronic waste (e-waste), the company repairs and reuses telecommunications equipment.
Thus, in 2025, more than 16,000 telecommunications electronic devices were repaired, upgraded, and reused, an increase of 28% compared to the previous year.
Paper recycling volumes also increased compared to the previous year: in 2024, more than 6 tons of paper and cardboard boxes were recycled, and in 2025, this figure reached 8.6 tons. To avoid paper waste, all Team branches offer eSIM service and have implemented E-pen technology.
