YEREVAN, May 23. /ARКА/. Armenian High-Tech Industry Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan discussed with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Vice President and Chief Cloud Officer Jeff Barr issues of strengthening current cooperation.

The meeting touched upon the promotion of Armenia's digital transformation strategy, the implementation of AWS infrastructure in Armenia, and the expansion of cooperation in the field of cloud services, the press service of the ministry reported.

The issues of activating the Internet services of the Project Kuiper satellite constellation were discussed, in connection with which Hayrapetyan emphasized the importance of supporting the company in implementing the "Cloud First Policy". Barr, in turn, highly appreciated the results of cooperation at various levels in Armenia and confirmed AWS's continued support for the Armenian government.

One of the main topics of discussion was also the implementation of AWS Outposts in Armenia to ensure the ongoing stability of the regional cloud. AWS representatives pointed to the importance of high demand from the public and private sectors.

Aypost CJSC Executive Director Shushan Aleksanyan, who was present at the meeting, presented the company's strategy to transform into a modern digital platform and expand its role in the e-commerce ecosystem. The company is actively exploring cloud migration opportunities in partnership with AWS and wants to integrate with the Amazon platform, potentially gaining the opportunity to become a regional logistics hub.
