Armenia Receives Additional Duty-Free Quota for 5,000 Electric Vehicles within the Eurasian Economic Union

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has decided to grant Armenia an additional quota for the import of 5,000 electric vehicles with a zero import customs duty rate in 2026, Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced on Facebook.

YEREVAN, August 7. /ARКА/. The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has decided to grant Armenia an additional quota for the import of 5,000 electric vehicles with a zero import customs duty rate in 2026, Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced on Facebook.

According to him, prior to this decision, approximately 1,900 vehicles remained within the current quota, available to both dealers and individuals who are not dealers.

Thus, the total quota for duty-free import of electric vehicles to Armenia in 2026 has been increased to 20,000 units, the minister announced.
He noted that information on the distribution procedure for the additional quota of 5,000 electric vehicles and other conditions for its application will be published later.
