Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of Armenia David Tadevosyan discussed the development priorities of the country's high-tech sector with representatives of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE).
YEREVAN, September 10. /ARKA/. Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of Armenia David Tadevosyan discussed the development priorities of the country's high-tech sector with representatives of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE).
The meeting took place as part of the "Breakfast with the Minister" format. Deputy Minister Tatev Aslanyan also participated, the ministry's press service reported.
The parties discussed the key challenges facing the industry and opportunities for expanding cooperation between the public and private sectors.
The focus was on improving the predictability of the investment environment, expanding cooperation with international technology companies, developing human capital, and attracting highly qualified specialists.
Tadevosyan noted that meetings with representatives of the technology community allow for direct discussions of business priorities and proposals for industry development.
The minister also emphasized the need for an open and ongoing dialogue between the state and the private sector and for the professional expertise of the technology community to be taken into account when formulating industry policy.
Meeting participants also discussed opportunities for implementing joint initiatives and developing new areas of cooperation.
According to the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, in 2025, 12,026 companies operated in the country's information technology sector, employing 41,431 specialists. The IT industry's turnover exceeded 1 trillion drams, up from 915.8 billion drams in 2024. IT sector exports in 2025 amounted to 711.5 billion drams, up from 702.1 billion drams the previous year. ($1 = 363.89 drams).
