ArmenTel makes high-speed internet available to residents of Abovyan and Artashat

YEREVAN, May 26. /ARKA/. Armenian telecommunications operator ArmenTel (trading as Beeline) has completed the upgrading of fixed infrastructure in the towns of Abovyan, Artashat and Vostan and Noragyukh communities. 

Thanks to the transition to the new VDSL network, the Internet has become available to residents of these settlements at speeds up to 100 Mb/s, ArmenTel said in a press release.

ArmenTel CEO Andrey Pyatakhin is quoted as saying that the new Internet technology, now available in Abovyan and Artashat is a deep upgrade of ADSL technology, only the speed is many times higher, close to the speed of fiber optic Internet.

According to him, the whole network is built on fiber-optic cable, and the subscriber only needs to connect his/her fixed telephone line to the modem and enjoy high-speed Internet.

Beeline offers new subscribers the Neo Max tariff plan at 5,990 drams per month that provides subscribers with unlimited calls within the Beeline mobile network, 3 GB of mobile Internet, 150 SMS, fixed Internet at speeds up to 50 Mb/s and the opportunity to watch 20 BeeTV TV channels for free.

Beeline offers also Guatro tariff plans starting from 10,990 drams per month. They include unlimited calls within the Beeline network, up to 200 minutes of calls to other mobile networks, up to 10 GB of mobile Internet, up to 300 SMS, fixed Internet speeds of up to 100 Mb/s and up to 133 BeeTV channels. The first month Neo Max and Quatro tariff plans are provided free of charge.
