YEREVAN, May 29. /АРКА/. Photo-editing application PicsArt was placed fifth in the list of top 100 free applications on App Store, Harut Martirosyan, a representative of the developer company, said Thursday in Novosti International Press Center.

“The application came fifth among free applications on App Store leaving even giants like Facebook behind,” he said.

Now the application is seventh in the list retaining its place among top ten popular applications.

PicsArt photo-editing application appeared on App Store in January 2013 and became available to iPhone users. Initially, the application for Android was launched on Google Play.

The application was developed in November 2011 by a startup company, where 20-25 employees work in Armenia and more than six in California.

The program offers a variety of effects to edit pictures, change colors and so on.

Already developed projects can be displayed in PicsArt social network or be posted on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Picasa, Dropbox, Fouresquare, Tumblr and Blogger as well as to be sent in SMS and via email. -0----
