YEREVAN, June 27. /ARKA/. Andrey Pyatakhin, the newly appointed CEO of ArmenTel telecommunication company, intends to make the company’s activity more active and “even aggressive”.
“We pay great attention to what our subscribers want and what other operator’s subscribers want and we are trying to find exactly those niches at the market which are still haven’t been used or have been used partially,” Pyatakhin said Thursday at his first news conference since he took the office on June 19.
He added that the company is already introducing innovations, but refrained from going into details.
Speaking about the company’s prospects to become the leader in the local communications market, Pyatakhin said it is a time-consuming process.
“ArmenTel has very strong rivals, which are awake,” he said. “Current things give grounds for thinking that the company’s prospects for obtaining leadership at the communication market are too low, but it is possible to build up its share and attract more clients and we will make this.”
Andrey Pyatahkin started working in VimpelCom in 2001. In 2009, he became the head of Beeline in Georgia and on December 15, 2011 he was appointed as vice-president and regional director of Moscow region.
ArmenTel CJSC, a subsidiary of Russian VimpelCom (trading as Beeline), provides fixed and mobile telecommunication services and a high-speed access to Internet. -0---
