YEREVAN, August 28. /ARKA/. Starting in September, educational artificial intelligence tools will become available to the higher and general education systems of Armenia. This was announced by Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia.

According to her, 50,000 subscriptions are planned to be provided as part of the collaboration with Firebird and OpenAI.

"We anticipate that with these subscriptions, both our students and the higher education system will have the opportunity to use educational artificial intelligence tools," Andreasyan said at a press conference.

The minister also emphasized that the tools are planned to be used exclusively in high school.

She stated that ChatGPT Edu is designed specifically to support the educational process using artificial intelligence.

"Teachers will be able to use this toolkit to free up their time from mechanical work and focus on more creative activities," Andreasyan said.

She noted that AI tools can be used, in particular, to create various assignments and tests, as well as for subject planning.

Relevant guidelines and videos will soon be prepared for the education system to help improve the effectiveness of these tools.

"The education system must learn to interact with artificial intelligence. It is a reality that has already become part of our lives. We are confident that only intelligent and well-thought-out decisions will enable this tool to serve high-quality education, rather than turning it into a source of serious challenges," Andreasyan emphasized.
