YEREVAN, May 25. /ARKA/. The Cafesjian Center for Arts in the Armenian capital Yerevan summarized the results of an educational program implemented with the support of Beeline in Armenia telecom operator. The program titled "Rethinking Sculpture" was held as part of a temporary exhibition "Ara Harutyunyan: monumental vision".
It was designed for children older than 7 and family visits. Beeline said more than 240 schoolchildren took part in the program and got acquainted with the life and the creative heritage of the outstanding Armenian sculptor-monumentalist Ara Harutyunyan. Inspired by his works, the children created their own works.
"Beeline attaches great importance to educating young people, since it creates a better future for our country. I am sure that the educational programs of the Cafesjian Center contribute significantly to this, because they allow children to get closer to art, " said CEO of Beeline in Armenia Andrey Pyatakhin.
Vahagn Marabyan, Acting Director of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, noted that the new educational program gave participants the opportunity to learn about sculpture as an art form using the example of easel and monumental sculptures by Ara Harutyunyan.
"The interactive and modern approach and the creative part of the program helped the young generation develop the critical thinking and ability to see," Marabyan said.
Beeline and the Cafesjian Center for the Arts have been collaborating since 2011. With the support from Beeline the Center regularly hosts creative workshops, children's and youth programs, classical music concerts and other educational projects aimed at the aesthetic education of children and youth.
In 2015, Beeline helped open the interactive educational center equipped with modern digital technology.
