Azerbaijani hackers get access to video cameras in Armenian homes, stores and other places

YEREVAN, October 27. /ARKA/. Azerbaijanis hackers have managed to gain access to video cameras installed in houses, shops and other places in Armenia, the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data of the Ministry of Justice said.
It said that recently Azerbaijani groups have been publishing videos on Youtube, filmed by video cameras installed in Armenia. In other words, they were able to gain access to video cameras installed in people's homes, shops and other places.
"If you use such cameras, we urge you to apply the necessary security measures (for example, choose a strong password). If you cannot ensure the security of the video surveillance system on your own, you should contact the appropriate experts or, if there is no urgent need to use video surveillance, you can turn off the cameras for a while," the agency' said in a Facebook post.
It said in case of detection of an outside interference in the video surveillance system, it is necessary to urgently inform the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data and law enforcement agencies. -0-
