Armenia to receive 32 million euro grant from EU to set up school natural sciences labs

The European Union will provide Armenia with a grant of 32 million euros for the establishment of school laboratories for natural sciences and engineering (STEM specialties). The relevant agreement was approved by the Armenian government on Thursday.
YEREVAN, July 27. /ARKA/. The European Union will provide Armenia with a grant of 32 million euros for the establishment of school laboratories for natural sciences and engineering (STEM specialties). The relevant agreement was approved by the Armenian government on Thursday.
The program will cover all schools of Ararat, Kotayk and Gegharkunik marzes, as well as 13 schools of Kapan in Syunik marz, all in all 340 schools. As part of the progarm teachers will be retrained in new teaching methods.
The goal of the program is to increase the competitiveness of Armenia's education in accordance with the educational reforms set out in the 2021-2026 program of the government.
Armenia has 1,450 basic schools. --0--
