About 600 school students involved in “AI Generation” school program in Armenia

YEREVAN, April 22. /ARKA/. About 600 students of Armenian schools are involved in the experimental educational program “AI Generation” launched about a year ago.
The program, implemented in cooperation with the Foundation of Armenian Science and Technologies (FAST), is aimed at shaping the educational path of future specialists in the field of AI and is intended for pupils of 10-12th grades, the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport reports. They study in-depth mathematics, Python programming, AI basics and implement practical projects.
According to the results for the first academic year, about 51% of students improved their algebra knowledge from low to medium and high. The average final algebra score of 10th grade students participating in the program was 2.2 times higher than that of their peers studying under the standard educational program (the comparison was made with students in Tavush region).
The program also provides for continuous professional development and support for teachers.
By the Minister's decision, 26 general education institutions from different regions of Armenia and Yerevan will be included in the program in 2025-2026 academic year. Further expansion of the program is planned until 2027, covering a total of 45 schools.-0-
