About $24 mln invested in ArMath engineering laboratories in Armenia - UATE

YEREVAN, March 7. /ARKA/. The Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises of Armenia (UATE) has invested nearly $24 million in the development of Armath Engineering Makerspaces.
This figure was reported by UATE leaders at a meeting with Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and his deputy Lilya Sirekanyan.
Issues related to the economic policy of the country's authorities, state support and further cooperation with UATE were discussed.
UATE General Director Sarkis Karapetyan and his deputy Edita Ghazaryan presented to the Minister the Union's activities, events and business forums planned for this year, as well as the ArMath program as one of the best examples of public-private partnership.
They informed Papoyan that this year is the 20th anniversary of DigiTec - the largest technological IT event in the region, in connection with which UATE plans to organize a large-scale event.

The Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE) was established in 2000 At the moment the Union unites more than 200 Armenian and international companies in the field of high and information-communication technologies. The ArMath network of free engineering laboratories in Armenia and a number of foreign countries provides free training in modeling, modern technologies and robotics to more than 16 thousand children and teenagers aged 10-18.
