Over 100 high schools in Armenia to have access to internet via Wi-Fi this year

About 107 high schools in Armenia will be connected to Internet this year via Wi-Fi, education and science minister Armen Ashotyan told reporters today.
YEREVAN, January 18. /ARKA/. About 107 high schools in Armenia will be connected to Internet this year via Wi-Fi, education and science minister Armen Ashotyan told reporters today. He said the ministry has signed an appropriate agreement with VivaCell-MTS company.
"Connecting schools to Wi-Fi will increase the accessibility to the Internet which can be used not only within a particular classroom, but also in the whole school, » he said.
The minister said some 1,403 schools will be connected to Internet in 2012. He said the ministry plans to create a website to post all downloadable textbooks for 1st -12th grades. -0-
