YEREVAN, May 7. /ARKA/. Website of International News Agency “Novosti-Armenia” is in the first place in Armenia in terms of thematic citation index in the rating of news sites by the version of Yendex.ru.

Thematic Citation Index is the indicator of importance (degree of authority) of a website, or, to be more specific, of an Internet-resource by search engine yandex.ru, defined through an internal analysis of the quality of links to that resource.

Quality of external links refers to similarity of the themes between the resource referenced and the resource linked. The higher the quality, or the so-called weight of the link, the higher is the Citation Index of the resource. Citation Index is estimated 1.5-2 times a month.

According to the rating, citation of “Novosti-Armenia” is 1,100, being ahead of following site of “Arminfo” by 350 points. At the same time the citation index of the site on the fifth place, information analytical agency “De Facto” is only 110.
