UITE to organize first national competition of drones

The Armenian Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) said it will hold this year the first Armenian competition of drones as part of Armrobotics national championship.
YEREVAN, January 16. /ARKA/. The Armenian Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) said it will hold this year the first Armenian competition of drones as part of Armrobotics national championship.
In a press it told ARKA that the participants will be tasked to design and build aircrafts to explore the terrain, understand guidance signs on land, take and send images on-line, find targets and drop up to 300 gr. cargoes and return to the starting point.
The drones can be of any type – with vertical takeoff and landing, conventional takeoff and landing and short takeoff and landing. Takeoff and landing can be done either automatically or remotely.
The registration of participants begins January 13 and runs until March 12. To enter the contest participants must register at http://digitec.am/armrobotics.php?id=185 and present within 10 days of registration a full project and the concept of a robotic drone.
UITE will provide the necessary mechanisms for assembling robot drones to five teams that will present the best concepts.
