YEREVAN, February 8. /ARKA/. The main prize of the forum “Teacher-innovator” targeted at the detection of innovative technologies in education process in 2011 became the teacher of Yerevan educational complex “Ohanyan” Anna Galustyan.

The forum is organized by Armenian representation of the company Microsoft with the support of the Armenian Education and Science Ministry within the annual program “Partners in education”.

Anna Galustyan will leave for Portugal in March with the project “Space is very close” for participation in European forum of Microsoft. As a prize she received a telephone NTS. 

The first place took the teacher of the same educational complex Sona Miskaryan, second place – Anush Torosyan from Vanadzor and the third – Lyudmila Khachatryan from Hrazdan. 

The main task of the forum is to introduce the innovative technologies targeted at the increase of education level which were used and developed by the teachers during education process. 

The forum is conducted the third time in Armenia. Last year the winners of the Armenian contest had the opportunity to present their projects in Berlin and Moscow.

“Conduction of such a forum has become a tradition. I would like to mention that last year a teacher from Kirovakan became the winner and had opportunity to participate in European forum of teachers-innovators”, said Director of Armenian representation of Microsoft Grigor Barseghyan.

The Head of Educational programs of Yerevan office Microsoft Christine Gyonjyan said that the winners of the competition were selected by special jury.

“The jury consisted of 12 members. They were representatives of Armenian Education and Science Ministry, Yerevan Municipality and National Center of Technologies, in other words, everybody related to education and innovation”, she said. 

During the competition 41 projects were presented, 13 of which passed to the final phase.

All the participants will be awarded certificates of Armenian Education and Science Ministry and the company Microsoft. Participants who took the first, second and third places will also get telephones. 

Corporation Microsoft cooperates with Armenia in the frames of the agreement signed on January 30, 2007 in Edinburgh (Scotland). According to the agreement, Microsoft will implement a number of investment, educational and innovative programs in Armenia, including the opening of Innovation Centre of Microsoft. 

The company cooperates with commercial structures, as well as national and local law enforcement agencies with the purpose of promotion of users in using licensed software.-0-
