Nokia launches HERE Maps for iOS

YEREVAN, November 21. /ARKA/. Nokia has launched its new Here Maps app for Apple's iOS. The new app offers users voice navigation, traffic updates and other sought after features and is built off of the popular NavTeq platform, RTT news reports.

The company unveiled Here Maps during a special press event earlier this week and Nokia CEO Stephen Elop said he believes the product is "transforming mapping." He adds that Here is "creating more personal maps that change how we navigate our lives."

The app achieves that "personal touch" by integrating a handful of social features including customizable maps. Users can create their own maps to be saved and shared with others later. Here Maps is currently available through Apple's App Store and it should be available for Android next year. —0-
