Innovation center commercializing research results to be established in Armenia

YEREVAN, July 30. /ARKA/. Armenian Development Agency, State Committee of Science and Technology Transfer Association signed Friday an agreement on establishing Innovation center in Armenia.
The Center is said to promote international cooperation for commercialization of research results.
The agreement was signed by Director General of the Armenian Development Agency Robert Harutyunyan, Chairman of the State Committee of Science Samvel Harutyunyan and Technology Transfer Director Mikael Abovyan.
“The goals of establishing the Center is to promote innovation activity in Armenia, develop research and technical projects that have some commercial potential, design and use new technologies, enhance ties between science and economy as well as foster cooperation between the State and private sector,” the Armenian Development Agency reports.
According to the document, The Committee of Science pledges to assist in efforts to commercialize research results and to encourage other organizations in Armenia and their workers in preparing innovative programs.
The other sides that signed the agreement take the responsibility of organizational process. —0--
