Armenians to use Windows 8 this October , Microsoft says

YEREVAN, March 16. /ARKA/. Armenian public will be able to use Microsoft Windows 8  new operating system this October, Grigor Barseghyan, head of Microsoft representation in Armenia, reported ARKA on Friday. 

The test version of Windows 8 designed for developers was launched in September, and Consumer Preview was ready for public use last month.

“Many users are already familiar with beta version of Windows operating system, and a lot of users in Armenia have also downloaded and used it, but the final version will be ready in autumn, by October 2012,” Barseghyan said.

He said that Microsoft in Armenia will make all the efforts to develop Armenian version of Windows 8 system.

“Armenian version will significantly simplify the system, menu will become much easier to use, design and interface will become much more advanced and convenient for our users,” Barseghyan said.

Armenian version of the system will be available for download in an open access, free of charge on the company’s website.

“Moreover, there will be new version of Microsoft Office that we plan to offer to our customers in Armenian language,” Barseghayn added.
Microsoft Corporation cooperates with Armenia in the framework of the signed agreement in Edinburgh (Scotland) on January 30, 2007. 

In accordance with the agreement Microsoft implements a number of investment, educational and innovative programs in Armenia, including Innovation Center opening in Armenia. —0-
